Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a member of JSI’s Corporate Human Resources (HR) Team who supports the Health Services Division (HSD). They will report to the HR team, and work with HSD leadership. They will focus on the areas of recruitment, orientation and onboarding, training and resource development. They must be a flexible and enthusiastic individual with a desire to support JSI’s mission of promoting and improving health for all, with a focus on racial and health equity. This position will be based in Boston, MA.

This position has an annual salary range of $80,000 - $93,000, depending on education and years of experience. JSI offers competitive benefits including health insurance, dental, vision, and a 401k with a company match.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with HSD to develop, adapt and ensure consistent implementation of standard language and procedures to support equitable organization-wide hiring practices that contribute to a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Handle full life-cycle recruitment process for a requisition load; including but not limited to:

    • Recruitment kick-off
    • Identifying and sourcing appropriate talent
    • Interviewing
    • Developing offers in alignment with organizational compensation guidelines.

  • Develop recruitment strategies to include job posting optimization, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment branding, and comprehensive recruitment campaign planning. Engages and proactively communicates with clients and candidates throughout the process. Maintains compliant recruitment records.
  • In collaboration with other members of the HR team, develop (or identify and adapt) and implement recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding training for staff, with a focus on HSD.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with recruitment sources that contribute to a diverse pool of candidates and align with the organization’s staffing needs
  • Oversee hiring logistics (delegating administrative tasks to an HR specialist, and consulting with HSD programmatic hiring teams) in the following:

    • Conduct quality assurance review of job descriptions and initial phone screens
    • Convene and orient hiring teams (e.g., coordinating with programmatic staff to screen vetted resumes and conduct interviews)
    • Determine need for and develop case studies, writing samples, and/or presentation guidelines and integrate into the recruitment process in collaboration with the hiring team.
    • Conduct reference checks

  • Collect, analyze and report data to generate recruitment and hiring metrics
  • Engage with HSD to get their strategic input throughout the process, inclusive of negotiating offers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelors in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience in HR, with at least 3 years of experience managing HR processes, and at least 3 years of recruitment experience.
  • Strong organizational, process management, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills.
  • Experience recruiting and retaining candidates and staff from diverse communities, including communities of color and LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and display strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of federal/state employment laws and regulations as they apply to recruitment and selection required, including OFCCP.
  • Familiarity and experience with Human Resource Information and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
